A 3 Dimensional kickboxing workout in Westchase Tampa
First of all…what is a three dimensional workout? Sounds amazing doesn’t it! Kickboxing is an amazing workout and is in fact as three dimensional as it gets. A three dimensional workout is something that is great exercise (every part of your body), you learn something that you can take home with you (self defense) and is fun and easy to stick with. I always highly recommend an accredited kickboxing gym to reap these rewards!
Let’s look at the first part of a three dimensional workout excercise. A kickboxing workout will work every part of your body from your head to to your toes. Every time you punch you will be working your shoulders, biceps and triceps. Your back and core will be engaged as well. The better your technique the more you will work your muscles with every punch. Your stomach works when you rotate your hips and legs will be worked when you change levels for power punches. Kicking will of course hit all your leg muscles from your claves, quadriceps and gluteus Maximus (butt!). Perhaps the most important muscle in your body would be your heart and it will be worked every time you punch, kick or move.
Self defense would be the second part of a three dimensional workout. This would be something that you can take with you wherever you go. You will be able to protect yourself or your loved ones if you are ever in a bad situation. You will learn how to kick which for a female practitioner is very important as your legs are seven times stronger than any mans arms. Your hands will be able to parry attacks and strike from different angles. Elbows and knees for close range defense against someone trying to grab you. Basically you will be able to defend yourself from any range in a standing confrontation. The empowerment from this alone will give you unparalleled confidence.
The third part of a three dimensional workout is it has to be fun. Kickboxing will never give you a boring workout. There are so many different punching and kicking combinations that you can do a different one every week for years on end. Besides different combinations (1000’s) there are many different ways to train. Hitting mitts, power shields and bag training. Besides striking pads working with fellow students is one of the most rewarding parts of kickboxing. Not only will you develop timing and distance but you will make life long friends.
There is no other workout that I know of or have experienced that is as three dimensional as the sport of kickboxing. By itself or combined with other martial arts it is an amazing exercise and self defense system.
